Doom tried her luck at gaining revenge on Layne later in the show; she teamed up with Joey Ryan (filling in for Candice LeRae) in a losing effort against Layne and Tim Storm. Her removal from the match provided Doom's replacement, Veda Scott with the opportunity to snatch the championship victory and defeated both James and Athena to become the first-ever XX Division Champion. At "Clash At the Bash," Delilah and Jessica James picked up the disqualification win over Angelus and Vanessa Kraven after Layne took the Pure Prestige from Chris Trew and clocked Doom with it, and then issued a challenge to Keith Lee for his belt.
On Sunday, Angelus Layne came out sporting one of Lee's shirts, altered to her liking, with Sammy Ga and Andy Dalton in her corner. The champion didn't show up to the title match alone, Trew, Jiggle-O, and Delilah Doom were in his corner. Layne was relentless, she continued coming at Lee with everything she had, despite his refusal to fight back. She tossed the near three-hundred pounder over her head with a top rope German Suplex – amazing. She even went as far as to attack Doom at ringside and taunt her repeatedly to get Keith aggravated enough to fight her. Lee had Layne pinned, but Sammy G pulled the referee out of the ring and prevented the count. Dalton also got involved in the match and was dropkicked off the apron by Lee. The referee ejected both Dalton and Sammy from ringside, while Jiggle-O was carried backstage after taking a piledriver. Layne continued taunting Doom and she finally lost it and hit her with the Pure Prestige Title, handing her nemesis the win via disqualification. Doom then challenged Angelus to a Street Fight at at "BattleWars 2" on September 13th, which was accepted. Doom proclaimed that she had not been beaten or killed by Layne "because goonies never say die" and Keith Lee drove Layne through the mat with a spirit bomb.
There were two matches from the XX Division, first up, Barbi Hayden made her return to the promotion following her suspension and trip over to China. The newly engaged Athena (Matthew Palmer proposed to her during the show) was the first to be eliminated from the match, as Hayden used the ropes for leverage. Kimber Lee defeated Hayden and won the match – this win has positioned her in the running for the XX Division Championship. Speaking of, Veda Scott showed up with her lawyer, and legal jargon per usual and configured the championship match. Instead of defending the title against Jessica James, who was prepared to fight, Scott argued that her contract allowed her the privilege of picking her opponent and referee for the match. She made James the referee, as she had already defeated her, and introduced an unknown competitor, going under "Lady Void," a female dressed in all-black from head to toe. Veda Scott successfully retained the XX Division Championship and the mystery remains on the true identity of "Lady Void." Some believed it was Leva Bates, as she was Scott's recent challenger.

Following the revelation that "Submission Sorority" was tied too closely with an internet porn series, Paige, Charlotte, and Becky Lynch's stable has been renamed "PCB." ... According to Dave Meltzer, the finish to the Charlotte and Becky Lynch match against Naomi and Sasha Banks on this past week's Smackdown wasn't originally planned. Meltzer claimed that the match was to go on several minutes longer than it did. Instead, Charlotte rolled Naomi up into the small package and had the momentum reversed, with Naomi pinning her for the win. The botched finish ended the match; it's reported that Charlotte was supposed to kick out of Naomi's pinfall and was visibly frustrated with the mishap and should have acted like it was intended to happen... However, it'll be a Three-Team Elimination match at Summerslam, as Nikki Bella, Brie Bella and Alicia Fox (Team Bella) will take on PCB and Naomi, Sasha Banks, and Tamina (Team B.A.D). The match was announced during RAW following Brie rolling up Snuka for the win. Alicia Fox was medically cleared to compete this week after suffering a concussion... Amanda Saccomanno and Sara Lee are the final two women in Tough Enough, as Giorgia Piscina was eliminated... Summer Rae, Eva Marie, Tamina Snuka, and Emma are the latest divas to be announced for WWE's 2K16 roster... Jessie McKay has been renamed "Billie Kay" and it was reported that she suffered a possible broken nose at Friday's NXT live event in Orlando, Florida. She was teaming with Carmella against Eva Marie and Dana Brooke when she started bleeding from the nose after taking regular bumps and strikes. It turned out to be nothing more than a bloody nose and the match was stopped due to safety reasons and ruled a No Contest... Cassie or KC Cassidy and Lina also received new names. Cassidy is now going by "Peyton Royce" and Lina is "Nia Jax"... Rosa Mendes announced that she is currently three months pregnant in an interview with WWE.com. Mendes is due in February... Lana and Summer Rae had another confrontation on RAW, this time it ended with Rae locking in the Accolade on Lana... The Wrestling Observer reported that the company is interested in introducing a Divas Tag Team Titles... It was announced that the upcoming NXT Takeover has officially sold out, as more than thirteen thousand fans will be in attendance on August 22nd at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York... Chris Jericho will be interviewing WWE NXT Women's Champion Sasha Banks on Wednesday's "Talk Is Jericho" podcast... There's speculation that one of the newer signees will make their television debut at Takeover and aid Aiden English and Simon Gotch in their NXT Tag Team Championship match against Blake and Murphy and neutralize the presence of Alexa Bliss

Terra Calaway has been added, joining the already announced Leah Von Dutch, Deonna Purrazzo, and Jewells Malone. The tournament takes place in Woodbury Heights, New Jersey on October 17th... The full teams for SMASH Wrestling's 2015 CANUSA Classic have been announced. Team Canada will be represented by Courtney Rush, Vanessa Kraven, Jennifer Blacke, Portia Perez, Nicole Matthews, KC Spinelli, Xandra Bale, and Jewells Malone. Ayako Hamada is still the WAVE Singles Champion after defeating Yumi Ohka in the main event on Sunday, winning the match with the AP Cross. This is Hamada's third title defense – for whatever reason, the promotion is not building up new challengers to the title. Mio Shirai's match against Minoru Suzuki turned into an impromptu GHC Heavyweight Title defense, as Suzuki retained. Shirai will be teaming up with Misaki Ohata and Tsukasa Fujimoto one final time on August 20th, as they take on Chikayo Nagashima, Meiko Satomura, and Kayoko Haruyama. That show will include Aja Kong taking on Tsukushi and Kaho Kobayashi taking on Risa Sera and Rina Yamashita. In addition, Shirai and Ohata will defend the WAVE Tag Team Championships against Ryo Mizunami and Hiroyo Matsumoto on September 13th, which will be her final title defense before retiring. Mio Shirai's last appearance for Ice Ribbon will be on September 19th...There was a title change – Rina Yamashita was unable to hold onto the JWP Junior & POP Championship, as Kaho Kobayashi defeated her with the 120% Schoolboy. It's Kobayashi's first singles title and was also Yamashita's first belt. Weirdly, Yamashita had no title defenses in her entire reign as champion – I'm not sure if this decision was JWP's as she didn't even defend the title on their shows or outside the promotion. The next challenger to the title will be decided on August 16th at JWP's show at the Korakuen Hall, as Konami will take on Yako Fujigasaki, the winner will go on to challenge Kobayashi... Kyoko Inoue and Yumiko Hotta will take on Manami Toyota and Mima Shimoda for the vacant WWWD Tag Team Titles on Sunday. The show will include Sareee and Ayako Hamada taking on Jaguar Yokota and Jenny Rose, Kaho Kobayashi, and Kaoru Ito taking on Hiroe Nagahama and Yuu Yamagata, Keiko Aono taking on Syuri Okuda and Megumi Yabushita taking on Koyuki Hayashi... SENDAI Girls also has a show on Sunday at Minato Kumin Center; Alex Lee will take on Sakura Hirota, Michiko Miyagi will take on Hikaru Shida, Meiko Satomura and Mika Iwata will go up against Hiroyo Matsumoto, and Mika Iida and DASH Chisako and Sendai Sachiko take on KAORU and Sawako Shimono.
