Maybe dropping this announcement right after her loss to Santana Garrett was not the best decision on So Cal Val's part, because it turned into Allysin Kay clearing the ring of the entire newly-formed supergroup. The red-headed mastermind doesn't respond well to rejection, instead, she's sought out the services of Saraya Knight hired her to do her bidding and eliminate the "problem," which is Allysin Kay. It will be an Anything Goes match, which was requested by Knight herself. Neither competitor are stranger to these types of matches – it be interesting to see if all of VAL-Kyrie will get involved in this match or if Kay will stand tall in the end. Regardless of the outcome, this is just the beginning of So Cal Val picking apart at Allysin Kay.
Also signed for SHINE 30, Santana Garrett will be defending the SHINE Championship against Evie – it's become sort of a tradition for the last three years in October to have an international import challenging for the belt in the main event or defending in Saraya Knight's case back at SHINE 4, as she retained the SHIMMER Title against Jazz. That same show featured Rhia O'Reilly, Kellie Skater, and Shazza McKenzie making their debuts in the promotion. Rain's title defense against Hiroyo Matsumoto the following October headlined a card that was littered with international talent up and down. Nikki Storm, Savannah Summers, Shanna, Madison Eagles, and Knight were all a part of the show, in addition, there was a SHIMMER Tag Team Title defense as Skater and Tomoka Nakagawa successfully retained against Allysin Kay and Ivelisse. Ivelisse defeated Madison Eagles after a hard-fought battle and retained the title via referee stoppage after submitting Eagles to the guillotine choke in the main event of SHINE 22. O'Reilly, Storm, Skater, KC Cassidy (debut in the United States), and Evie – she had a great match-up against Allysin Kay on the show. All returned and chipped in their contributions as part of Female Fight Season ahead of SHIMMER – can't blame the promotion for taking advantage of the international contingent that is brought in for the SHIMMER weekend tapings.
A possible match of the night is Jessicka Havok taking on Kay Lee Ray. Ray's high-flying style has mesmerized and captured the fascination of American fans – she has transformed into a heel persona overseas and it be interesting to see how that meshes with Havok, who was livid at SHINE 29 after Vanessa Kraven rejected her offer for another match. Leah Von Dutch will be taking on Malia Hosaka and if she wins, she will get the match she's been wanting against Leilani Kai. The SHINE Tag Team Championship will not be on the line, instead Kimber Lee will be in singles action against Taylor Made due to Cherry Bomb being on the shelf with a broken collarbone. Ivelisse will take on Thunderkitty, Mia Yim and Leva Bates will be taking on the current BellaTrix World Champion, Sammi Baynz and Rhia O'Reilly, Madison Eagles will go up against Su Yung – this match could be another great showing for Yung and there will be a four-way freestyle, pitting the debuting Kellyanne and Liberty against Shazza McKenzie and Jayme Jameson.

Unlike the previous Girls Night Out tapings in October, this year's lineup will not include international talent. Instead, it will be in-house competitors, familiar faces making their returns, and some newer personalities sprinkled in there. Heidi Lovelace will be defending the AIW Women's Championship for the first time against Tessa Blanchard. Blanchard's win and loss record in the promotion has not been the greatest – she's been busy chasing multiple title opportunities since her last appearance in December. She challenged Barbi Hayden for the Lone Star Women's Championship back in January and was unsuccessful in regaining the ECWA Women's Championship from Renee Michelle in a No Disqualification match in April. The next month, she fought "Crazy" Mary Dobson for the RPW Women's Title and again was unsuccessful in taking the belt – their match at "Delirium" was the second of several main event title matches of Dobson's reign.
Blanchard's quest for gold didn't stop there – she fought for the WSU Championship at "Control," with Cherry Bomb retaining. Heidi Lovelace climbed to the top of the women's division a few weeks ago after answering the challenge issued by the former titleholder at "Faith No More." She defeated Athena for the AIW Women's Championship after unsuccessfully challenging her for the belt fourteen months earlier at "All In" – Athena had picked up her second title defense against Candice LeRae that same night before dishing out the open challenge to the locker room, as Lovelace ended her second reign as AIW Women's Champion and she bid her farewell to the promotion. This will be the first time Tessa Blanchard and Heidi Lovelace have wrestled each other one-on-one, they have worked together as tag team partners last December, but never have touched outside of that.
I must admit that before the title match was announced I had thought the booking of Lovelace defending against Blanchard would be a good idea – though Lovelace defending against Veda Scott, being that she lost the title to Athena would have been a great choice also. Blanchard – Lovelace is a fresh pairing. Scott and Allysin Kay have received multiple opportunities at the title and it appears that Absolute Intense Wrestling is changing up things following Athena's departure and bringing in more up-and-coming talent like Tessa to work the shows, while still bringing in the regulars. Besides the championship match, Girls Night Out 16 will include LuFisto and Mary Dobson continuing their series of matches throughout the Midwest, as they have fought a total of six times since July 2014. Veda Scott will be taking on Annie Social and Marti Belle will take on Allysin Kay. Solo Darling will be making her debut for the promotion, as she takes on longtime Girls Night Out competitor, Angel Dust. Lastly, Leva Bates will be making her first appearance for the promotion in two years, her last being at Girls Night Out 10 when she and Xandra Bale lost to Social and Lovelace. Bates will take on Chasity Taylor. AIW has announced that Cristina Diamond will no longer be appearing.

Female Fight Season is not exclusive to the United States though, there are loads of shows happening outside the country throughout the month. World Wonder Ring STARDOM has a boatload of shows packed into this month. For starters, Kris Wolf will not be competing in this Sunday's show at Shinkiba 1st RING. It's reported that Wolf is not in the best physical condition to work; Wolf has missed the past couple of STARDOM shows due to suffering concussion-like symptoms. Io Shirai will be defending the Wonder of STARDOM Championship against Hudson Envy. La Rosa Negra will be in non-title action, as she takes on Kyoko Kimura and Alex Lee. "Dark Angel" Sarah Stock will be making her return to the promotion for the first of her last appearances in the country. She will be teaming up with Mayu Iwatani as they will take on Kairi Hojo and Chelsea – STARDOM has not announced if Hojo and Chelsea are still Artist of STARDOM Champions following the departure of Koguma or if the titles have been retired. Act Yasukawa will also be in action, taking on Momo Watanabe and Haruka Kato will take on Azumi.
In addition, the promotion has rolled out the talent announcements for their tour dates in the United States. Santana Garrett, Mia Yim, Brittany Wonder, and Marti Belle are the first names to be announced to be making their debuts for the branch and will be working the show alongside, Kairi Hojo, Io Shirai, Hudson Envy, Act Yasukawa, Thunder Rosa, Cheerleader Melissa and the rest of the roster on October 16th at the Knights of Columbus in Covina, California and on October 18th at the Esther Snyder Community Center in Baldwin Park, California. Earlier this morning, the promotion held a press conference to announce the completed lineup for "Appeal the Heart" on October 11th. La Rosa Negra will be making her first title defense as High Speed Champion inside Korakuen Hall, as she defends against Mayu Iwatani. Kairi Hojo will be taking on Act Yasukawa in a number one contender's match, as the winner will go on to challenge Meiko Satomura for the World of STARDOM Championship. Sarah Stock will be wrestling her final match in Japan, as she takes on Io Shirai. There will be debuts on the show; Hiromi Mimura will be having her first match against the returning Kris Wolf, Starlight Kid will debut against Momo Watanabe and Kaori Yoneyama and Saori Anno will be making her first appearance against Haruka Kato.
Also announced this morning, Santana Garrett would not only be working the tour here in the United States, but she will be heading over for her Japanese debut come October 25th, as she will be a part of STARDOM's show at Shinkiba 1st RING. No further information has been reported – this could be a one-off appearance or the first of several appearances, as the promotion will be looking to bring in more established stars to promote STARDOM USA going forward. Garrett has about eight championships within her possession, including the NWA World Women's Championship. She will be the first NWA World Women's Champion to have traveled to the country in several years, let alone if she were to defend the belt it would be the first title defense in Japan in decades possibly.
