Independent Women Business: DreamWave presents “Uprising 6” & more

Image: DreamWave Wrestling ©
DreamWave Wrestling has a fully booked card for their upcoming show in LaSalle on Friday. Two championship matches are scheduled, along with several other singles contests to complete the event. Megan Bayne and B3CCA will have their first singles encounter in over two years. Their last exchange took place at Beyond Wrestling’s “Mills of the Gods” in Lowell, Massachusetts, in May 2023. Another intriguing match will feature Brittnie Brooks going one-on-one with Kylie Alexa. This match not only marks their first encounter but also serves as Kylie Alexa’s promotional debut for DreamWave. Outside of DreamWave, Kylie Alexa is currently a four-time titleholder, including the NYWC Starlet Championship, which she won in May. She is also the reigning NWA JCP Women’s Champion, with an impressive 438-day title reign, making it the longest in the championship’s history. Gypsy Mac, Izzy Moreno, and Abadon are the additional names set to make their promotional debut. Abadon will be teaming up with Blair Onyx to take on sisters, Briar and Sage Hale. Moreno will be in singles action, as she faces Sirena Veil, and Gypsy Mac battles Airica Demia and Fallon Grey in a three-way matchup.

Maggie Lee’s tenth title defense of the DreamWave Women’s Championship is one of the major events set to take place in Indiana. She will face a familiar opponent in Jada Stone, who will be challenging Lee head-on in her DreamWave debut. The reigning champion has successfully defended her title against several competitors, including Bayne, Brooks (twice), and Vert Vixen, most recently overcoming Elayna Black earlier this month. Jada Stone was recently sent to Japan for another stint with Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling after completing a successful tour with the promotion in June. Over the past three years, she has managed to complete four tours of Japan, which is quite an accomplishment in the wrestling industry, especially for a black woman. Although Stone has competed for numerous singles championships, her only victory in that pursuit came when she won the UPW Women’s Championship in 2023; she has otherwise fallen short in her attempts.

Also on the card, Laynie Luck will challenge Rebecca J. Scott for the Uprising Alternative Championship. Scott, the inaugural titleholder, has achieved back-to-back victories since winning the belt last April. She faces a strong contender for her eleventh title defense in Luck, who celebrated a decade in the ring this past weekend. Throughout her career, Luck has kept a busy schedule filled with bookings and has held multiple championships while competing in various tournaments. Her last championship victory came last October when she defeated Shazza McKenzie in the tournament final to become the first Glory Pro Women’s World Crown Champion. Recently, she achieved her eighth title defense against Rae Larson in Hamilton, Ontario.

#Radiance2, DOA’s Queen of Thorns

Fighting Spirit Pro’s women's promotion, Radiance, will be hosting another show on August 8th in Pacheco, California. Four matches have been confirmed for the event. Masha Slamovich will defend the Radiance Championship, which is the flagship title, against Brooke Havok. In addition, Fallyn Grey will face Airica Demia in a singles match, while Brittnie Brooks and Izzy Moreno will compete for the chance to secure a "wildcard" spot in the second championship match of the night. Emily Jaye and Bryn Thorne are already set to compete in the matchup that will determine the inaugural Starfire Champion. The winner of the Moreno-Brooks match will become the third competitor in the Triple Threat title match.

The women’s scene on the West Coast is a smaller one compared to previous hotbeds like the Midwest, Texas, the Northeast region, or the circuit down in Florida. With the absence of prominent promotions like Alternative Wrestling Show, which presented their product with their women heavily influxing the card, and other promotions going silent, we are beginning to see the coast find its footing in bringing back more opportunities for the local talent that aren't able to secure bookings outside their region. Portland’s own DOA Pro Wrestling has announced matches for the first round of its “Queens of Thorns” tournament, scheduled for August 9th at the Jackson Armory in Portland. Among the first names confirmed for the event are Su Yung, along with previous winners: KEL (2022), AMIRA (2023), and last year’s champion, Liiza Hall. Hall will be defending her title throughout the tournament and is set to face Anne Beretta in the opening round. The bracket has been set — the rest of the first round matches include KEL against Murphy Madsen, Izzy McQueen facing Dark Sheik, Brooke Havok going up against Abigail Warren, AMIRA competing against Naomi King, and lastly, Su Yung faces Kikyo.

Metroplex Wrestling’s “Who Runs the World”

Image: MetroPlex Wrestling ©
A heap of marquee matches are set to be presented by the Bedford, Texas-based promotion’s all-women’s lineup on August 9th. Announced for the show’s card are two title matches, a few singles, tag team matches, and two multi-person matchups. Reiza Clarke has managed to hold onto the Metroplex Women’s Championship for over 137 days, and her current reign has seen her successfully defend the title three times since defeating Shay KarMichael for the strap back in March. Clarke’s championship will be on the line at “Who Runs the World” as her fourth opponent vying for the title will be Abadon, and it will also be the first time the two competitors have faced off in their careers. The former champion Shay KarMichael will be in action on the show, as she is set to take on Emmy Camacho.  Vert Vixen, Masha Slamovich, and Hyan will all be fighting in a Triple Threat Match — all three competitors have previously worked with each other in the ring.

Reality of Wrestling's "Money Birds" will be in action, as their ROW Women’s Tag Team Titles will be up for grabs against Londyn Dior and Anarkid Ash. Originally, Dior was scheduled to team up with Kiah Dream for the championship match, but due to a scheduling conflict, Anarkid Ash has been substituted as the replacement for the current Reality of Wrestling Women’s Champion. This matchup will be a first-time clash among all four competitors, and it marks the champions' latest title defense since they retained their belts against Tiffany Nieves and Haley J back in March. Since then, the titleholders have been competing in singles matches and faced off in the finals of the Glory Women’s Title tournament in June, where Gigi Rey secured the victory by pinning Monica Monroe.

Another match that fans should not miss is between Maya World and Billie Starkz, marking their first-time encounter. These two competitors stand out as some of the busiest in their generation, aside from a few peers. Both have participated in high-profile matches, gained visibility in Ring of Honor, and have traveled extensively on the indie circuit. They have also competed in various Joshi promotions such as Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling, Marvelous, Kitsune, SPARK, and STARDOM. In Starkz’s case, she has even wrestled physically in Japan. There are numerous comparisons and contrasts to be made between the two, as both women have achieved significant accomplishments early in their careers.

Another highly anticipated match booked for the show is a “Bad Bitch Brawl” featuring Nyla Rose, Morgan Mercy, Charity King, and Baby D. If you're not familiar with Baby D, she is a Texas native who broke into the wrestling business in 2013. She has competed across the state for promotions such as Inspire Pro Wrestling and Sabotage Wrestling, where she became a former Tag Team Champion. Additionally, she held the Women’s Title at River City Wrestling and was a key figure in Anarchy Championship Wrestling, which is now defunct. Since 2015, she has been a staple in Metroplex, winning the tag titles twice and the Prospects Title, making her a former MPX Champion.

Charity King recently advanced to the finals of the ASÉ Women’s Championship tournament and is a former NWA World Women’s Tag Team Champion. She captured this title alongside Danni Bee as the "King Bees" in January 2024. Morgan Mercy is currently one-half of the Metroplex Tag Team Champions with her partner, Nova Phoenix, as part of the duo known as "Fire And Fury." Together, they have successfully held onto the titles for nearly a year after winning them last August. Trained by Athena, the Missouri native also holds the Texoma Pro Women’s Championship and is two title defenses into her reign. Nyla Rose is best known as a former AEW World Women’s Champion. While she faced Baby D in the ring back in 2021, she is less familiar with King and Mercy, making this her first encounter with those competitors.

Joshy, Joshi, Joshe News: Catch the WAVE, OZ Tag Title face off, Marigold gets a dojo, Rossy talks Bozilla & more

Image: Pro Wrestling Weekly ©
Cohaku became the winner of the 2025 Catch the WAVE after beating Haruka Umesaki and Ranna Yagami in the finals of the tournament last Monday at Korakuen Hall. The competitor had navigated her way through the round-robin block, “Earth,” where she overcame Mio Shirai and Mizuki Kato. She then advanced to the semi-finals and triumphed over Hazuki (Mercury) and Ayame Sasamura (Pluto) on July 13th to secure her spot in the finals. Cohaku sought to claim the Regina di WAVE Championship earlier in the year after competing in a high-stakes number one contender's tournament back in December, where she emerged victorious against Tomoko Watanabe. Despite her valiant efforts, Cohaku was unable to capture the championship, as Saya Kamitani retained her belt in the main event of “NAMI I,” succeeding her first title defense since capturing the championship.

Cohaku made it to the finals of the 2024 Catch the WAVE tournament before being knocked off by the current titleholder. However, she didn't leave empty-handed; she received the Best Performance Award for her match with Sakura Hirota against Honoka and Yuki Miyazaki. After winning the tournament, Saya Kamitani competed for the Regina di WAVE Title at “Prime WAVE” in November and successfully defeated Miyazaki to claim the championship. This victory ended Miyazaki's reign as champion, which lasted for 316 days and included six successful title defenses. Miyazaki has been a significant part of WAVE's roster since its launch in 2007 and is widely regarded as a cornerstone of the promotion. She incorporates a comedic role into her performances, which aligns well with WAVE's reputation for blending comedy into its events. This style was particularly influenced by former competitor, founder, and booker GAMI, who often engaged in nonsensical antics during her matches.

Cohaku has been pinned clean by Kamitani twice, and their upcoming title match will mark the third time these competitors meet in the ring. This championship bout is scheduled for WAVE’s eighteenth-anniversary show at Korakuen Hall on August 10th. The phrase "third time’s a charm" highlights the possibility of the title changing hands, which could allow Kohaku to capture her first main title of her career. Previously, Cohaku won the Sendai Girls Junior Championship in June 2019 under the name "Mikoto Shindo." She defeated Manami for the vacant title after the former champion, Command Bolshoi, retired four days after winning the belt due to the worsening of the ossification of the yellow ligament (OYL) in her spine. The title remained vacant for two months before a decision was made to crown a new champion. Cohaku successfully defended her title once against Manami before losing it to her in October.

Cohaku currently holds the OZ Academy Tag Team Titles alongside Tsubasa Kuragaki as part of the "Phantom Limit" stable, which also includes Saori Anou, AKINO, and Unagi Sayaka. The pair won the titles from Hazuki and Koguma (the FWC) in April. They successfully defended their titles for the first time in June against their stablemates, Anou and Sayaka. It has been officially announced that their next championship match will take place during OZ Academy’s annual tribute show for the late Plum Mariko on August 17th. Cohaku and Kuragaki will defend their titles against Hiroyo Matsumoto and ZONES. The winners of this match will then face Ryo Mizunami and Itsuki Aoki (Team Powerspot) in Aichi on August 24th.

Matsumoto and ZONES faced off in a one-on-one match at Shinjuku FACE on July 6th. Following the match, they both issued a challenge to the champions for their titles. The two competitors have not only battled each other but have also teamed up in the past, including an unsuccessful attempt to win the titles last August. Matsumoto is a tag team specialist who has held eight championships across multiple promotions, including STARDOM, SENDAI Girls, SHIMMER, SEAdLINNNG, Ice Ribbon, NEO Japan, with six reigns as OZ Tag Team Champion. ZONES has won her first career title this month, becoming the inaugural Evolution Strong Women’s Champion by defeating Chi Chi. I believe they’re using the name “Gojizones” based on previous posts by ZONES — the prefix is derived from Matsumoto’s nickname, “Lady Godzilla” (Gojira). Gojizones gained momentum leading up to their title match after winning against AMIRA and Miyuki Takase at the SENDAI Girls’ show in Fukushima last Monday.

Outside of this title opportunity, Matsumoto has a chance to regain the Beyond the Sea Championship on August 22nd when she faces Makoto at SEAdLINNNG’s booking at Korkauen Hall. The tenth-anniversary show will feature the champion’s first defense since taking the belt off VENY in June. Matsumoto captured the title in October 2022 after defeating Itsuki Aoki in the final of a ten-woman single-elimination tournament. This tournament was held to crown a new champion after Arisa Nakajima vacated the belt due to injuries sustained during a match against Matsumoto, which ended in referee stoppage. The official ended the title defense after Nakajima had taken a nasty spill from the corner to the floor. Despite her efforts to continue, the referee called the match, and she was taken to the hospital. Nakajima ended up regaining the championship from Matsumoto that December — Matsumoto hasn’t had a sniff at the title since.

Saya Kamitani sits atop two promotions as their top champion. She last defended the Regina di WAVE Title in April and has since successfully retained the World of STARDOM Championship against Natsupoi in a highly anticipated matchup. Kamitani is currently a participant in the 2025 5*STAR Grand Prix, which officially kicked off on Sunday in Tokyo. The champion has already earned her first set of points by defeating former Queen’s Quest colleague Lady C with the Frankensteiner, moving forward in the Red Stars Block A.

According to Kamitani, she had considered skipping the tournament altogether, but President Taro Okada persuaded her to participate, and she reluctantly agreed.

Saya-sama has been busy lately, so I thought about not participating, but Taro Okada bowed his head to me, so I decided to participate on the condition that he would double my salary. Well, also, I lost to Maika in the finals last year. I thought that if I could win the tournament with a perfect record with the Red Belt, I could erase all of Maika's records from last year.”

The tournament's opening night took place at the Ota City General Gymnasium. It featured a total of sixteen matches on the main card, along with one additional game during the pre-show. The event attracted an audience of 1,783 spectators, reaching nearly half of the venue's capacity for the seventeen-match event. The majority of the night's matches lasted under ten minutes, and, aside from the pinfall finishes, Momo Watanabe (Blue Stars Block B), Saori Anou (Blue STARS Block A), and Tomoka Inaba (Red STARS Block B) achieved their victories via submission. Bozilla’s matchup against Ruaka (Blue STARS Block A) ended in a double countout, with both competitors receiving one point.

Speaking of Bozilla…

Rossy Ogawa's ability to stay afloat no matter the ups and downs in this business is admirable. He's proven to be resilient during his four decades in the industry. Ogawa went from capturing the in-ring poetry through his lens to being in the boardrooms. Over time, he would become known as one of the key figures behind ARSION and later the birth of World Wonder Ring STARDOM. His latest venture would come right after a public firing from Bushiroad - no, really, they canned the old man.

The announcement sent shockwaves around the internet; however, the reasoning behind his termination would be the eyebrow raiser. Ogawa was accused of "poaching" talent from the roster and taking a shortcut to WWE. Ogawa has since refuted the allegations, but the implication that he was participating in and or leading the charge to sabotage the promotion's future is something that doesn't wash away overnight. Throughout his tenure in the business, Ogawa has been caught red-handed, so to speak, on numerous occasions amid bad decisions. His history shows a pervasive lack of trust among veteran wrestlers, mainly due to his inadequate management of ARSION.

He often clashed with Aja Kong, the visionary founder of the promotion, which ultimately culminated in Kong’s departure from the company, a loss that would prove disastrous for ARSION's future. Following Kong’s exit, Lioness Asuka assumed the role of booker and made controversial decisions, demoting well-established talents like Ayako Hamada in a bid to elevate herself and her allies to the forefront of the promotion. Ogawa arranged a storyline where Kong pretended to “resign” from her position, with the entire roster gathering in the ring, passionately demanding her resignation. Kong played along with this plan and exited the company, and this decision led to a decline in both morale and business performance for ARSION, leaving the promotion struggling in the aftermath of her absence.

In a surprising turn of events, in 2003, Ogawa filed a lawsuit against Kong, alleging damages based on claims of “default.” This legal action emerged two years after Kong departed from the company, making it clear that Ogawa was seeking to recover the financial losses he believed were a direct result of Kong’s actions, which he helped orchestrate. The lawsuit highlighted the complexities of their professional relationship and raised questions about accountability and responsibility following Kong’s exit. She fired back with a countersuit, claiming defamation regarding her name and reputation had been unjustly tarnished. Kong accused Ogawa of misleadingly advertising her as a participant in upcoming events for ARSION, indicating that this tactic was an effort to regain lost traction and boost the promotion’s popularity, and also shared her grievances regarding unpaid wages in her lawsuit. The court ruled in favor of Kong, mandating that Ogawa satisfy the unpaid wages totaling ¥6.7 million, which is equivalent to around $58,000 based on 2003 exchange rates. Additionally, Ogawa was ordered to pay ¥500,000, approximately $4,300 in USD, as damages for defamation, reflecting the court's recognition of the harm caused by Ogawa's actions.

Let’s fast forward a bit…

STARDOM became a significant phenomenon after the highly publicized incident involving Act Yasukawa and Yoshiko in 2015. This incident garnered considerable attention, and its virality attracted a surge of new fans, significantly increasing the organization’s visibility. As a result, STARDOM's exposure in the Western market was transformed. Dream Star Fighting Marigold officially launched as a full-fledged promotion in April 2024, with their debut taking place at Korakuen Hall the following month. Following Ogawa’s untimely dismissal, several active members from the Actwres girl’Z and STARDOM rosters defected to Marigold. This included prominent stars such as WWE-bound Giulia, Utami Hayashishita, Miku Aono, and STARDOM’s co-founder and former trainer, Nanae Takahashi.

There was an extensive piece published by Hiroshi Arai of Proresu-TODAY, featuring comments from Rossy Ogawa and Taro Okada, the current President of STARDOM, regarding Bozilla’s perceived transition from Marigold to Ogawa’s former territory. The second-generation competitor had bade farewell to the promotion back in April before embarking on her excursion to the States, where she competed against Megan Bayne at Joey Janela’s “Spring Break 9.” Ogawa mentioned that he had spoken with both Bayne, who had previously worked for STARDOM in 2023 and 2024, and Bozilla backstage after their match. He indicated that Bozilla’s return to Japan was primarily influenced by Suzu Suzuki, who expressed an interest in bringing her into STARDOM. Ogawa also discussed his earlier conversation with Bozilla, which centered around her wish to take a leave of absence to return to Germany to care for a sick family member.

He explained that the promotion had fulfilled its obligations to Bozilla, as her work visa was set to expire and there were no plans on the drawing board to bring her back into the fold. Bozilla had been working with the promotion without a contract, which is common for foreign competitors who are sometimes brought in for brief engagements lasting a few weeks to several months. Her commitment to the promotion lasted only for the duration of the opportunity she was given. Ogawa suspected that Bozilla’s decisions were partly influenced by her father, Ulf Herman, a veteran of the European wrestling scene who has also spent some time in the United States. This might indeed be the case, considering that Herman broke into the business back in 1989 and wants to help guide his daughter through an industry that is not very protective of women.

Ogawa’s responses were prefilled with resentment that he's harboring towards Bozilla and the digs he tossed around, claiming that her presence has not "significantly impacted" attendance numbers at shows, basically dismissing the notoriety and fanfare she could've garnered. He also criticized her performance by stating that Bozilla has had "a lot of rough matches" and expressed concern for the well-being of the locker room, hoping they won't be injured while working with her. Bozilla, who is still relatively inexperienced, the 21-year-old began her wrestling career in 2022. While Ogawa’s statement has some validity — considering his experience — it also labels Bozilla as the “green” foreign competitor. This designation can create negative perceptions and may hinder her future opportunities, especially since her former promoter has suggested that she is unsafe to work with.

Taro Okada stated that he and his company conducted thorough due diligence to legally acquire Bozilla as a contracted competitor without causing any conflicts. He noted that it may have seemed as though Bozilla had "jumped" to the promotion or that talent was being "poached," especially in light of the departure of their central star, Mayu Iwatani. Still, he and Ogawa have proclaimed that the decisions were not related or a “trade.” Iwatani joining Ogawa in his new promotion was a given, being that she’s developed a close working relationship with him, and he’s been a consistent player in her career. She and former competitors like Kairi Sane and, to some extent, Iyo Sky will follow Ogawa’s direction out of loyalty, as he provided the biggest platform in their careers before outside opportunities came rolling in. Sky’s legal trouble back in 2012 could've led to her being blackballed from the industry out of shame, especially if her innocence wasn't proven. Ogawa stood by her and continued to work with her. Less than two years after the smuggling incident, Sky surpassed Nanae Takahashi as the "face" of the promotion, becoming synonymous with STARDOM.

Iwatani coasted in the shadows of Sane and Sky for the longest time, despite being as technically sound, if not more, in the ring. Their signings led to that pivotal role she was destined to take, becoming within her grasp — she came a long way from being one of the many rookies that were battered and bruised by Takahashi and Natsuki*Taiyo night in and night out in the beginnings of STARDOM. Iwatani became the central figure, the “heartbeat” of STARDOM, and became the standard that the promotion was looking for, taking on every challenge that walked through the door. Iwatani worked her final date for STARDOM on April 28th, and just days later, she would be sitting beside Ogawa at a press conference to announce her acquisition by Marigold, with her official start date set for the Korakuen Hall show on May 4th. Iwatani expressed that she had accomplished everything there was to achieve in STARDOM and now aims to do the same in Marigold.

Bozilla’s sudden move from Marigold to STARDOM is rooted in a preconceived notion that she was dishonest in her intentions after leaving Marigold. Based on Ogawa’s responses during the interview, he seemingly feels betrayed or that he wasn’t given a heads-up about her next steps. She was a non-contracted performer, and Ogawa’s decision to let her walk and not make her a permanent fixture within the promotion doesn't rest on her shoulders — she doesn’t owe Ogawa anything. Bozilla made her debut for STARDOM at their June 21st show, “The Conversion” and assisted the members of "Mi Vida Loca"— Akira Kurogane, Itsuki Aoki, Rina Yamashita, and Suzu Suzuki—in securing a victory against AZM, Mei Seira, Miyu Amasaki, and Starlight Kid (known as Neo Genesis) in a No Disqualification match. Her status with the promotion was officially confirmed after it was announced post-match that Bozilla was the newest member of the stable. Bozilla has already received her first title shot and unsuccessfully challenged AZM for the NJPW Strong Women’s Championship at the July 24th show at Korakuen Hall, and is one of the many participants entered in the 2025 5*STAR Grand Prix —she’s going to be fine.

Last week, the entire staff and roster attended the grand opening celebration of their dojo in Tokyo. The promotion hosted a traditional ceremony to officially reveal the facility to members of the press, who were eager to provide the community with its first glimpse of the new space. The dojo will serve as the premier training ground for aspiring wrestlers in Marigold, and it aims to expand the promotion's presence in the world of professional wrestling. Ogawa disclosed that the total cost was approximately ¥8 million (USD 52,000), with ¥2 million for the property’s purchase and ¥6 million for renovations.

Shuji Kondo, a seasoned coach, has been appointed as the head trainer for the dojo. In a translated interview with Battle-News, available for reading here, Kondo shared his excitement about this new opportunity. He noted that, while he has previously contributed to the training of wrestlers like Hana Kimura and Reika Saiki while working for WRESTLE-1, this role will be his first dedicated focus on training women exclusively. Considering the groundwork that Nanae Takahashi laid as STARDOM’s former head trainer, who raised competitors like Iwatani, Yoshiko, and Kris Wolf, one might expect that the now-retired competitor would receive the call, but that is not the case. This marks a significant step in his coaching career and allows him to impart his knowledge and expertise to a new generation of Joshis. Interestingly, Ogawa has chosen a unique path by selecting a respected male competitor as the head trainer instead of opting for a retired Joshi wrestler with whom he has had a longstanding professional relationship. This decision suggests a fresh perspective on training methods — Ogawa mentioned in his interview that Kondo's training approach is not strictly old-school, which emphasizes form. Instead, Kondo modernizes it and teaches various methods to prepare for real fights.

Image: Dream Star Fighting Marigold ©
The new facility features a dedicated ring, allowing the roster to train freely and more frequently without needing to share time at other dojos. Ogawa pointed out that while the dojo‘s location is farther away, there is no current plan to relocate their dormitory closer, particularly for competitors who live a significant distance away. He also mentioned that the promotion has purchased a minibus and a truck to provide transportation, ensuring they have everything they need. Ogawa said that now that the dojo is complete, his main priority is to improve the quality of Marigold's performers. The promotion has faced criticism for in-ring mistakes and the series of injuries affecting the roster. Ogawa is no stranger to this occurrence — STARDOM’s early days were plagued by frequent injuries, particularly among rookies who were sidelined right after their debut and forced to retire.

The promotion is currently preparing for the 2025 Dream Star Grand Prix, which begins this Saturday at the Edion Arena in Osaka. The tournament will feature sixteen competitors divided into two blocks: the Dream League and the Star League. They will compete under round-robin rules. Natsumi Showzuki withdrew from the tournament in June due to a shoulder injury requiring surgery, which will keep her out of action for the rest of the year. Ryoko Sakimura has taken a leave of absence from the promotion due to her declining health and mental well-being, leaving the tournament short of two participants. On June 28th, Senka Akatsuki and Reo Sato won their qualifying gauntlet matches, which restored the pool to sixteen competitors, as previously discussed here. The winners of each league will compete in the tournament finals, scheduled for September 14th, fighting for a chance to contend for the Marigold World Championship. If the current titleholder wins the tournament, they will have the opportunity to choose their opponent for an upcoming title defense. In a round-robin tournament, a victory awards two points, a draw gives one point, and a loss results in zero points.

Lastly, Zayda Steel, Ava Everett, Griffin McCoy, Jackson Drake, and LSG will take on the team of Tony Deppen, Billie Starkz, Orsi, Terry Yaki, and Jay Lucas.
